STEP 1 - BIG IMAGE!
Is your design large enough? If you send a small image, we will need to stretch it out, which will guarantee a poor quality print out. The minimum size should be approx 400 x 400 pixels.
STEP 2 - PROPORTIONS!
Does your design correctly fit into the shape of the badge you want? You need to ensure lots of space around your design, called the "bleed".
STEP 3 - PROPORTIONS! - PART 2
Even if you do have bleed, how does it look when reduced down? Try to always remember the shape and size of your final product!
STEP 4 - SAVE IMAGE PROPERLY!
Does your image look sharp on screen? An image that does not look sharp on screen, will not look sharp to print. Save in a high resolution.
-EASY DESIGN TIPS-
- Start with a large canvas, much bigger than the actual size of the product. Bigger designs print crystal clear! Beware when using small text! For small text on your item, choose a simple font, big enough to read in relation to the size of the rest of your design.
- Avoid colours clash! For example, a black image with very dark red text will not stand out as much as a black image with very bright red text.
- Double check your image before sending it. If it looks fuzzy/unreadable on the screen, then that is how it will print.
- PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR DESIGN(S) IN JPG format.You can submit Word Docs, but they can be a problem sometimes as usually the fonts need to matched up.
